In 2017, our founders — a former SOC lead and a red-team operator — were brought in to clean up after a ransomware attack on a 60-person logistics firm. The company had done everything a small business is told to do: antivirus on every machine, a firewall, an annual checkbox audit. None of it mattered. An attacker walked in through a reused password and spent eleven days moving sideways before encrypting the lot.
What stuck with them wasn't the technical failure. It was the conversation with the owner, who said the quiet truth out loud: "I always assumed nobody would bother with a company our size." Attackers were counting on exactly that assumption. Tens of thousands of organizations were left undefended not because the technology didn't exist, but because real protection was priced and packaged only for the largest enterprises.
S-Security was founded in 2018 to close that gap. We took the tooling, the threat intelligence, and the around-the-clock human expertise normally reserved for the few — and rebuilt it as a managed service the many could actually afford and operate. Today that founding belief still runs through everything we ship.
